For my birthday, my wife took me to the Sonoma Coast Villa in Bodega for the weekend, about five miles east of Bodega Bay. Putting aside the somewhat Fawlty Towers-esqe Austrian proprietor Johannes, the place was great (to be fair, he was very nice, just a little disorganized at times). Nice big room, good breakfast, relaxing massages, and in-room three-course dinner. We hiked a little around the 60-acre grounds, drove up the coast, ate and drank to much–you know, good stuff.
