Today marks the beginning of Amy’s third trimester. According to the Pregnancy Tracker iPhone app, that makes them about as big as heads of cauliflower (13.4 inches, 2.2 pounds)—although it doesn’t take twins into account, so they might be a bit smaller. Here’s to at least 8 or 9 more weeks before the births!
The 24-Week Wife
Amy is now 24 weeks along with the prgnancy (well, 24-and-a-half, really). But with two babies in there, she’s getting bigger faster. Here are a few pictures to show you what I’m talking about.

The Vanished Beard
Facial hair, a razor, and an iMac—enough said.
The Double Good News
Today, I can announce that Amy has officially finished her first trimester—and she’s preggers with twins! Both are clearly human, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out how many boy babies and/or girl babies are in the mix. The due date is June 24, 2009, but twins don’t play well with schedules (although hopefully better with each other) so it’ll probably be several weeks earlier.
The Deluge of Molly Videos
Here are several more videos of the beast.

The Molly Kitten Video
Here’s a little video of Molly with her mom and siblings, shot back in 1996 when Molly was a week or two old.
R.I.P. Molly the Cat: 1996-2008
Today is a sad day for the Seff household, as we mourn the loss this afternoon of Molly the cat. Her cancer had spread and grown so rapidly that she had stopped eating and drinking, and we had no real choice but to stop her suffering. She had a great 12 1/2 years, and I’m happy for all the time I had with her. Below is a short video tribute from her younger days.
The LA Thanksgiving Trip
Oy, the eating. So very much eating. At least we got some walking in, but it was either to and from meals, or during the short time in between meals. But we had fun and got to spend a lot of time with Brandon and Sydney, plus Amy Hoffman (nee Goldman) and her kids. Here’s a link to many pictures and a few videos as well.
The 2nd Anniversary
Today marks two years of marital bliss, so we decided to go to the new California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. I took a bunch of pictures, as well as some videos that I edited together into a quick movie.
The 10/2/08 Crossword Puzzle
After many failed attempts, my second crossword puzzle (well third, if you count the one in Macworld that nobody cared about) is running in newspapers on Thursday, 10/2/08. It will appear in the LA Times, SF Chronicle, and other papers (I can’t find a list of all the places it’s syndicated). But you can download a PDF or download a .puz file that you can solve with software such as the free Crossword Solver.
